  1. For this project do we have to consider how it will float, weight limits ect and does it have to be a single structure?

  2. “Assume the depth of the water, on which the market is to be designed, is 4m” Does this mean that the market is under 4 meters of water? Can the market be partly above the water and partly underwater?

    1. No, it does not mean that the market is 4m under the water. The depth is provided to assist you with your structure designing and other prospects. Yes, the design can be partly under or above water.

      1. I too have a question about this 4 m depth… Is there a possibility to consider more drastical depth, for example 50 m, because in the brief project description you mentioned the rising of sea level, which is 230 feet, so I don’t undersdand why do we have only 4 m depth to design a floating market?

        1. Yes, you can consider more drastic depths. The provided depth is minimum, to ensure that participants do not assume the market to be in the water as shallow as to make it possible to walk around.

  3. “Assume the depth of the water, on which the market is to be designed, is 4m”.
Is this depth of 4 m a criterium or a suggestion? Is it possible to think of more “dramatic” depth, let’s say 50 m?
In the project description is mentioned the rising of sea level for about 230 feet so I don’t understand why we have now these 4 m of depth.
